It is not a child’s play to make it big within the tinselville. Particularly, for those who hail from abroad and dream to become a star in Bollywood. We have noticed outsiders like Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez making a niche for themselves in the industry.
But, Jiah Khan, who was also an outsider wasn’t as well lucky to witness the stardom here. Well-known novelist Shobha De feels that if Jiah have had a Godfather like Salman Khan in the industry, she wouldn’t have taken this intense step by killing herself.
Expressing her views around the late actress’ sudden demise, Shobha wrote on her blog, “Jiah was an outsider – a London girl trying her luck in the closed, incestuous world of Bollywood. Yes, she had got her dream break.
And two other large banner films with top stars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar. But following that? Jiah languished on the sidelines for 3 years. Perhaps she merely did not match in. And unlike another London girl (Katrina Kaif), Jiah did not meet a patron saint called Salman Khan, either. Had that happened, she’d still be alive. And successful to boot.” Like Katrina Kaif, Jiah Khan too was born and brought up in London. But, unlike Katrina, Jiah wasn’t fairly fortunate in obtaining some good projects. As per the reports, Jiah was depressed due to her sinking Bollywood profession, which might have possibly led to her death.
