Colgate had created a Guinness World record for the most number of dental health checkups across multiple locations in 24 hours in the past. To commemorate this achievement, Colgate, along with celebrating the existing record, created another Guinness record on the spot. This record was for the highest number of people gargling with mouthwash together for 15 seconds.

The concept was executed by bringing together over 1000 plus students of Kalka Public School in New Delhi in the presence of a Guinness Adjudicator, Colgate and IDA officials and other witnesses where they performed the record breaking act. The event also saw the presence of actor, Anushka Sharma, who took the stage to interact with kids and also congratulate Colgate on achieving the landmark record.

Encompass has been associated with Colgate for over a decade on numerous events, activations and content. For this event, Encompass was involved with Colgate from the conceptualization level into designing this event and executing it. The record has been created successfully and has now been registered at 1011 students after the last count, and given a go ahead by the Guinness adjudicator.

Chanda Singh, AVP and Regional Business Head, Western Region, Encompass said, “Encompass’ association with Colgate goes well beyond a decade now and this is not the first time that we have created a landmark event like this for them. The first Guinness record that was created by Colgate in 2007 was also conceptualized, organized and managed by team Encompass. This is the second time that an event of this scale was done where Colgate attempted to create another Guinness record. It was a challenge, considering that the working time between the brief and actual execution was less than two weeks. Also, operationally handling over a 1000 kids in a controlled environment for over six hours was a challenge but teams from both Colgate and Encompass were committed to making this a grand success. In depth planning, coordination and the consequent execution ensured that it was.”
